I don’t know if I believe this or not, but rumor has it that Rihanna called her ex Chris Brown after his emotional Michael Jackson tribute performance at the BET Awards last month. Reports claim that the two have not been in touch since Chris was sentenced to 180 days of community service and five years of probation after beating Ri Ri back in February 2009.

An unamed source told South Africa’s Heat magazine, “It’s been almost a year since they last spoke, but Rihanna felt like she could try to be friends with Chris again. Seeing how emotional he was on set [at the BET Awards] really touched her. She’d never seen him like that before.”

The source also said, “Chris told her that he felt like he’s grown up in the past year. He said he’s so happy to be back in touch with her. They were each other’s first love and he’s missed her so much. Rihanna knows that if she wanted him back, he’d be there in a second.”

The magazine reported that the two have reportedly been texting each other since their phone conversation and that a friend of RiRi’s has allegedly suggested that she wants to have a face to face meeting with Chris. According to GossipCop.com, a rep for Rihanna said that this rumor is absolutely, “not true.”
