Now a source tells the Chicago Sun-Times that Spears and current boyfriend, Jason Trawick, are talking about tying the knot. Insiders claim they’ve been doing some ring shopping.

One insider says that during a recent dinner with Trawick’s parents, they all talked about Chelsea Clinton’s upcoming wedding. The source notes:

”They were particularly interested in the tight security and the way the Clintons had stonewalled for Chelsea’s wedding — and it sounded like they were talking about it all in connection with a Britney and Jason wedding.”

Congrats Britney.

Nicki Minaj has revealed the meaning of her violent death at the end of her “Your Love” video. The clip features the rapper as a martial arts student who fights for the love of her sensei — and ends up with a sharp blade to the gut.

The raptress told MTV News:

“I just felt like that was the most emotional and truthful storyline. I felt like mostly everyone would normally make themselves win in the end. I wanted to show that the only way I could be beat is if you cheat. If you play fair and square, I’m gonna win. It’s my little way of looking at it.”

Rumor has it that Matt Kemp is set to propose to pop star girlfriend Rihanna. Mediatakeout.com reported that a “rock solid source” said that the baseball star has hired jewelry company Rafaello & Company to create a one million dollar masterpiece. The site reported that the ring is in the process of being designed.

Rihanna and Matt have reportedly been dating since the beginning of the year.

Ellen DeGeneres has quit American Idol after just one season on the judging panel. Ellen issued a statement on Thursday night, which read: “A couple months ago, I let FOX and the American Idol producers know that this didn’t feel like the right fit for me. I told them I wouldn’t leave them in a bind and that I would hold off on doing anything until they were able to figure out where they wanted to take the panel next.”

She continued, “It was a difficult decision to make, but my work schedule became more than I bargained for. I also realized this season that while I love discovering, supporting and nurturing young talent, it was hard for me to judge people and sometimes hurt their feelings. I loved the experience working on Idol and I am very grateful for the year I had. I am a huge fan of the show and will continue to be.”

Idol creator and executive producer Simon Fuller said in the statement, “I loved Ellen’s passion for the artists and her nurturing skills. She brought honesty and optimism to our judging panel and I will miss her greatly.”

Ellen replaced Paula Abdul as a judge for the show’s ninth season, joining Simon Cowell, Randy Jackson and Kara DioGuardi on the panel.

Simon exited the show at the season’s end, prompting widespread speculation as to who will take his place.

Rumour has it that Jennifer Lopez is in the running to be a judge on the show!

Justin Bieber concergoers were met by demonstrators at his Wednesday  concert in Kansas City, Missouri — the same ones who recently protested a Lady Gaga concert. According to HollywoodLife.com, protesters from the Westboro Baptist Church showed up at his show, arguing, “Justin Bieber has a platform given to him by God to speak to this world . . . but he refuses to do that because he knows his concert halls would be empty!”

They held signs which read, “God hates America!” and shouted to fans as they walked into theater. Parents who attended the show were not happy. One mother said, “He’s a child! He hasn’t done anything wrong. He’s here to entertain the public!” Another added, “This is the last thing my kids need to see. Its insane. It makes me really mad.”
